They told him he could be anything
He wanted to be the wind, a soft breeze travelling to all parts of the world.
He wanted to be the river, flowing freely, flexible, adaptable, taking any shape and form he required.
He wanted to be the light from the sun, distant yet powerful.
He wanted to be the mountains in the distance, unmoving and unfazed by the elements.
But as the morning dawned upon him, he realized.
He wanted to be himself.
